We are very excited to tell you about a world first meeting happening in Freiberg, Germany over September 19th and 20th, hosted by the EuroDBA Consortium. This is a global gathering of clinicians, researchers and patient advocates from 25 different countries, hoping to work towards a new level of cooperation and collaboration that will be key to the future of treating Diamond Blackfan Anaemia.
The meeting is titled “Building Global Bridges”, hosted by the EuroDBA Consortium, this meeting hopes to work towards a global DBA registry which will be a huge boon to research and furthering the cause of Diamond Blackfan Anaemia around the world.
You can also find more information about this initiative on their website here –
We encourage you to interact with the EuroDBA Facebook and Twitter pages over the 19th and 20th of September as they will be posting out information from the meeting as it happens and the more the posts are shared the more visible it will be to everyone who is part of the DBA community, hopefully even drawing in new people who are unaware of DBA UK and EuroDBA.
DBA UK will be represented at this meeting by committee member Martin Winter. Martin will give us a feedback report after the event which will also be posted here on our site.
